Bedepuszta Hiking Days

From Wednesday 27 until Sunday 30 September we organize the first edition of the Bedepuszta Hiking Days. All hikes start at the doorstep of your room in Bedepuszta.

In the early autumn we will take paths that are seldom trodden. Exploring forsaken roads and tracks, winding through the yellow-green fields and colorful forests of the unknown but beautiful Cserhát. Although Bedepuszta feels like a forgotten hamlet in the middle of nowhere, it has interesting destinations and even restaurants at walking distance.

Experiencing nature

On the break of summer and autumn we will pass valleys, creeks and panoramic scenes but we will hardly meet any people. Except for the lunch break, when we enter a village for a good warm meal.

All inclusive hiking holiday

The Bedepuszta Hiking Days include accommodation, meals, guided hikes and many facilities. Guests can arrive from Wednesday 10 May 2 pm. In the afternoon guests can join a short walk through the valley. Departure is on Sunday after the last hike. It is possible to book extra nights though. Of course guests are free to join (or not join) all hikes.

The hikes

Bedepuszta Valley

On arrival day we only make a short hike through the valley.

The Inn of Garab

Our first real hike will take us south into the forest and will be about 18 km. The warm lunch will be served in the inn of Garáb in the heart of Kelet Csérhat Forest.

The world heritage village of Holloko

The second hike leads westwards to the castle of Hollókö where we will have a warm lunch in the beautiful old village (Unesco World Heritage). This hike will be about 20 km.

The teahouse of Buddha Park

Our third hike goes south east towards the Geopark, the castle ruin of Samsonhaza and Buddha Park where we will lunch. The walk will be about 20 km.

The Abbey of Markhaza

The last day we head east to the old abbey and the  spings of Szentkút. We eat at the abbey restaurant and return by transfer. The hike is about 20 km.

The price is 350 euro p.p. and includes:

• Breakfast, lunch and diner for all 4 days
• A single bed in a twin room (a private room is 110 euro extra)
• All hikes including guide
• A welcome drink
• A handmade ceramic remembrance plate
• Use of facilities: swimming pool, darts, pool table, board games, hammocks and chilling zone.
• Evening campfire

Not included: trip, transfer, drinks, snacks, massages and the wellness. Drinks and snacks can be bought in the Yonderbar or in the restaurant, massages and wellness can booked on spot.
